If you’d like to have a homepage similar to traditional websites, with content that doesn’t change with each post, you can choose a “front page display”.
First, make a new page with the content you’d like for your main page. This might be a statement about your company or a description of the kinds of blogs you’ll be writing.
Save the Page.
Go to Settings/Reading on the main menu.
Under Front Page Displays, select the button “A static page”. The drop-down menu for the Front Page will show a list of options for Pages you created. Check the one you saved.
This page now shows as your homepage no matter how many posts you make. You can replace it any time by selecting a different “Static Page”.
Or you can re-write and edit your first choice.
